He specializes in optimizing workflows and technology for clients, firmly believing that "Workflow before Technology™" is not just a slogan but a guiding principle that ensures the most effective workflows are supported by the best technologies available.

As a community advocate, he established the Mastering Encompass® Community, an open forum designed for industry professionals to collaborate and share insights. This platform invites all participants to engage in discussions related to the mortgage industry while providing a dedicated space for Encompass® administrators to address critical issues.

In his role as an educator, Larry developed the Mastering Encompass® educational platform, allowing him to disseminate his extensive knowledge and expertise to administrators and users across companies utilizing the Encompass® platform. Over the past 13 years, he has successfully trained thousands of administrators and users, contributing to their professional growth and the overall advancement of the industry.

Sam has been in the mortgage lending business for 27 years and has spent the last 10 years leading technology teams to enable business success. He thrives on constant improvement, solving problems and the opportunity to collaborate with thoughtful and high performing teams. He has passion for efficiency and supporting business to achieve goals.

Sam has lived in Washington State most of his life, although spent a year in Kansas City leading the Midwest operations of a national mortgage bank. Sam attended Gonzaga University, in Spokane, WA—Go Zags!

At ICE Mortgage Technology, Sam leads our effort to expand usage of our newest toolsets to deliver better outcomes and business results for our customers. This is accomplished by developing and illustrating best practices and driving strategies to implement tools to achieve incremental improvement.

Matthew VanFossen is the CEO of the Absolute Home Mortgage Corporation, a mid-size Independent Mortgage Banker located in Fairfield, NJ, and Mortgage Automation Technologies, a financial technology provider specializing in consumer mortgage technology. Matthew has been a driving force in the mortgage industry and is a respected figure in the community. Additionally, he serves as the president of the New Jersey Mortgage Bankers Association. Matthew commands an extensive knowledge of the broader housing industry, with over a decade of experience in residential mortgage lending and overseeing over $5 billion in retail originations as CEO of Absolute Home Mortgage. Throughout his career, he has taken on an executive role at several successful mortgage companies and has worked as a consultant for various fintech start-ups and mortgage lenders nationwide. VanFossen's passion for innovation and the industry is evidenced by his numerous industry achievements.

He has been named a "Top Mortgage Professional Under 40" by National Mortgage News and has been featured in various publications, including Forbes, Scotsman Guide, and HousingWire. In 2023, he was awarded the ICE Mortgage Technology Innovators Award for Best Use of Next-Generation Mortgage Technology by Encompass. Under VanFossen's leadership, Mortgage Automation Technologies has become a major player in the financial technology space, offering the web-based BIG Point of Sale to some of the biggest companies in the mortgage industry. VanFossen's technology enables efficient and speedy consumer mortgage transactions, eliminating consumer communication complaints and reducing costs for lenders. Most recently, Matt helmed Mortgage Automation Technologies launch of Big Agent, a revolutionary transaction management platform tailored to help real estate brokers and real estate agents navigate recent changes in the real estate industry.

Kelle had spent eleven years running Encompass environments for several lending entities prior to her move to ICE Mortgage Technology in the fall of 2021. Her experiences designing workflows, assisting end users, and even jumping in to assist with operations functions sparked a passion for providing intuitive and efficient solutions to the mortgage industry. Today she is very excited to be driving automation initiatives to directly deliver opportunities for greater efficiency to lenders.
