Daniella is a partner at Mitchell Sandler and leads the firm’s mortgage practice group.
She advises mortgage lenders, financial institutions, and consumer finance companies on regulatory compliance and enforcement matters, bringing the insight of a former banking regulator at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago to her work. She regularly counsels clients on federal and state laws relating to fair lending, advertising, licensing, and privacy. She has particular experience helping mortgage lenders and others comply with the requirements of the Truth in Lending Act, the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, the Fair Housing Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Bank Secrecy Act, and state regulatory requirements.
Daniella has served as lead counsel to clients in federal and state regulatory investigations and enforcement matters involving the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Department of Housing and Urban Development, Department of Justice, various state financial regulators.
