Jim Pathman

CTO Hometown Lenders

Jim Pathman is the CTO of Hometown Lenders. Jim has worked supporting retail mortgage offices, retail call centers, TPO lending, servicing, and commercial lending in his career. Jim started in mortgage in Plaza Home Mortgage, from there he took increasing roles with Option One Mortgage, Fleet Bank, H&R Block, First NLC Mortgage, Lehman Brothers, and again at the new version of Plaza Home Mortgage. For seven years Jim was the CEO for a technology company Data Resolution where he managed support and datacenter resources for 800 clients, many in the finance industry. Jim loves a challenge of identifying mortgage related processes and applying the best technologies.

Jim and his wife Lisa are parents of two special needs sons with Cerebral Palsy who have done great things because of the people, teams, and community around them. Jim’s son Shane is a senior at University of Arizona, and will graduate with dual majors in history and religious studies. His twin brother Riley attends an adult’s with disabilities program at a local San Diego college.

In addition to being great young adults they are amazing athletes with disabilities. Jim runs an adaptive running and triathlon program called Team Hoyt. Named after the famous Boston Father and Son team of Dick and Rick Hoyt. Dick and Rick did over 1,000 endurance races with Dick pushing, pulling or cycling with his disabled son Rick in a specialized racing wheelchair. Jim and his sons have done 27 full marathons together, 100’s of triathlons, and 100’s of other races.

Jim’s goal at Hometown Lenders is to bring all the teams new and old together, to provide the best suite of technology that works for our common goals. Much like relying on the caregivers, doctors and therapists in Jim’s son’s lives, Jim relies on the best of his teams, co-workers and partners to provide technical solutions for in our industry. Jim is here at Hometown Lenders to bring the people together with technologies to make this the best company in the mortgage space.
